The University of Bristol has been ranked 8th in the UK and has risen 10 places to 64th in the world, according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) published today.

Tough Mudder challenge for paralysed student Rob

Student Rob Camm will be the first tetraplegic in the world to take part in a Tough Mudder challenge 鈥� navigating the gruelling course on a special wheelchair which he controls with his chin. The 21-year-old, who studies politics and philosophy at the University of Bristol, was left paralysed from the neck down and is reliant on a ventilator after a car crash two years ago.

A 鈥榩uppy room鈥� held at the University of Bristol to help students cope with exam stress has been a resounding success, with over 600 students indulging in some puppy love and raising over 拢1,300 for Guide Dogs.
